小さなすずめ A little cock sparrow ：マザーグース

　　小さなすずめが木の上で
　　チュンチュンチュンと鳴いていました
　　そこへ弓矢を持った男の子が来て
　　すずめを撃とうと　こういいました
　　こいつのお肉でシチューを作り
　　はらわたでパイを作ったらうまいだろう
　　これを聞いたすずめは大慌て
　　羽根を鳴らして飛んでいきました

この歌には何か教訓が隠されているのでしょうか。でも素直に聞いても面白い歌です。すずめはシチューにされたり、パイになったりするのはごめんでしょうから、男の子に撃たれないよう、さっさと飛び去ってしまいました。
